DENTAL BRIDGES
MODERN DENTAL BRIDGES
Ceramic-clad bridge
Made using the same process as a ceramic-clad crown but with a continuous metal frame, i.e. a bridge, for the replacement of several teeth. In the bridge, each member may be fixed to a ground tooth socket but in the case of one or more missing teeth, a so-called swinging member may be constructed to replace the missing tooth or teeth.
What dental problems can be solved with a traditional metal-ceramic bridge?
A metal-ceramic bridge is suitable for the simultaneous replacement of several missing, decayed or chipped, worn teeth. The metal frame fits firmly over the prepared teeth while the ceramic veneer gives them an aesthetic appearance.
